I changed my number or got a new phone β€” how do I get back into my account?

Changed your phone number, got a new phone, or lost access to your old one? How to log back into Bankroll with your linked email β€” and what to do if you never linked one.

Your phone number is how you log in to Bankroll. If you've changed your number, gotten a new phone, or lost access to your old one, you can still get back into your account β€” as long as you linked a backup email address.

How to log back in with your email

  1. Open Bankroll. On the phone number login screen, tap Lost access to your phone? β€” the link just below where you enter your number.

  2. Enter the email address linked to your account and verify it with the code we email you.

  3. You're back in.

Update your phone number

Once you're in, update your phone number in your Security settings so you can log in with your phone again going forward.

What if I never linked an email?

Your Bankroll Wallet is self-custody β€” it's built so that only you can ever access it. If you never linked a backup email (or another recovery method) before losing access to your phone, there is no way to get back into your account. This isn't something the Bankroll team can fix for you β€” not because we won't, but because no one but you ever has access to your funds. No one can restore the account or move the funds.

Protect your account now

If you can still log in, take a minute to add a backup email today β€” open your Security settings and link your email. As long as you can sign in with one linked method, you'll always be able to get back in.
